Shortly before I met my partner, he was lucky enough to have some New Holland Honey Eaters nesting on his front porch. The mother, affectionately named Sylvia, was very trusting, so Raf was able to watch and photograph the whole process, from egg, to chick, to fledgeling. I've always been inspired by his photos and I've finally gotten around to painting some of these understatededly beautiful birds.
This is an original watercolour painting, colour printed onto 300gsm paper. Each print will be signed and numbered, then packaged using recyclable and compostable materials.
