This scarab beetle was a challenge to paint since he has a lovely iridescent exoskeleton which changes from green, to amber, to purple hues depending on where the light touches. He is part of my bugs and butterflies collection, which are a series of small prints available only in A5, designed to fit nicely when displayed together.
This is an original watercolour painting, colour printed onto 300gsm paper. Each print will be signed and numbered, then packaged using recyclable and compostable materials.
